| The colors and silkiness of this yarn are intoxicating. It wears very well and is a pleasure to use; but expect to go down at least one needle size and work about 1" worth fewer stitches than usual--think of it as between sock and sport weight. | I am not a fan of Koigu or any other Merino yarn for socks. As a handspinner, I try to match the character of the yarn to the project and Merino is expensive and will wear out if you really do wear your socks often, or shoeless as I often do at home. I suppose if you are burdened with too much money and need a way to get rid of it, or bedridden, Merino would be good to prevent irritations when wear is not an issue. | |||
