| Although this yarn is listed as a worsted weight yarn, I worked it on US 2 to achieve a firmer fabric. It is a lofty and quite loosely spun yarn so it does split. However, because of the "loftiness" of the yarn, it works up into a nice, light-weight fabric. And it feels good on my feet. Since I just finished these socks, I cannot attest to their wearability, but the manufacturer DOES recommend hand washing. I think that even though it is a worsted weight yarn, and I knit it on US 2, it could even be knit on a smaller needle. | |||

| I made a pair of socks out of this yarn. I knit it pretty tightly because the AL-Pa-Ka is more loosely spun than the typical sock yarn I use. I can't really tell how well it wears, I've not worn these socks much yet (except as bedsocks), because they are very warm. They are very soft and very comfortable - extremely luxurious socks. They do have to be hand washed and air dried, so if that's a consideration.... | |||
