| I used this yarn to make some hiking socks for my son, who can ruin a pair of socks in next to no time, with size 3 needles making a very sturdy fabric. Because of the size of the needles I used, besides being a bit more difficult to knit, I was not able to get a pair of socks for a 10 year old boy from two balls but needed about 1/2 ball more. They are beautiful socks that feel softer with every wash and are wearing very well. I machine wash the socks in cold water and lay them flat to dry. | |||
