Not for the faint of heart, these are wonderful socks in DK weight yarn. The author starts with two basic pairs, one toe-up (her favorite) the other top down. The rest are the marvellous results. Some are fairly simple. Others are complex. My one quibble is that the pictures in the book are tiny and black and white. She chose to go with a color poster to accompany the book instead of in the book. I cut it apart and laminated them. Others have hung it on the wall.
