Dear Evelyn: Sounds as though you are doing famously! And of course you are doing well as a proof reader. You are right about the second row. It should read P2TOG, P5. Now about the longer rec-- this happens only on this round, the next one is the way it should be. This is the only way of reducing the size. If you are really picky, you may reduce the length by working the join(once only) as sl1, yo, P2TOG, pass yo and sl st over. This will give the correct # of rows. You may want to know that I did not do this, as I know from experience that it does not really show - unless of course someone gets down on the floor next to your feet and does some counting! knitlove;
